Quick review: This is what happens when you give a speed/coke freak a pen and then sit him down and convince him that his life was interesting enough he should write about it. Only for true Motorhead fans or ex-groupies looking for ways to get in touch with the potential father to thier bastard child. Lemmys book is at times entertaining if you ever dreamed of being a rock star. The only thing that is unusual about this book and Lemmy for that matter is his tenacity. Most people out grow parting their brains out night after night. Hell even I did. But every chapter in the book recronicles lessons shoulda been learned......... the first time around 20 times over. But he just keeps trudgin along. He wins some he looses some, fires some band mates re-hires old ones only to fire them again. Gets sick goes on tour and fires a record labels, managers and or stage hands. There are few books like this (that get published). I found his ability to explain how he bought a refrigerator for the mother of one of his kids cause she didn't have one..... right after he met up with her again WHILE BUYING COKE, disturbing. Then doesn't ever mention that kid again a little sad... I wonder how he feels about it. Or how he saw his other son while in CA for one day then the kid (technically not a kid anymore) bugged out and just left his dad to chase a skirt. Like father like son. Whatever.......... Lemmy is Lemmy his book is like most of his lyrics in coherent babble mixed with just a touch of truth and pain. He makes a couple of decent points here and there but mostly it is went here fucked a chick did some drugs and played AND WE ROCKED!!! If you enjoy talking to interesting people on crack........... read this....... if not don't. E./
